Shukri Hilowle

Shukri Hilowle is an Educator, Academic, and a Psychotherapist (qualifying). She is passionate about the human rights of Muslim women and wants to combat the rise of Islamic extremism in Sub-Saharan Africa. Having fled Somalia at a young age, she understands the importance of freedom of speech and human rights in maintaining a safe society. Having completed her PhD in Education, she understands how freedom of thought, diversity, and civil liberties are foundational to Western tradition and democracy. She is the process of qualifying as a Psychotherapist and plans to combine her background in Special Education with her passion of improving the mental health and well-being of women in Sub-Saharan Africa through psychotherapy and healing.
