Azita Yashar

Azita Yashar was born into a Jewish family in Tehran, Iran and was compelled to leave the country following the Islamic Revolution of 1979. She sought asylum in the United States, where she built a new life and career. She has worked for approximately 18 years in the healthcare field and is now retired, living with her husband.

The events of September 11, 2001 had a profound impact on her life, prompting a deeper engagement with politics, social issues, foreign influences, and the dangers of Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism. Having lived under Islamic rule and witnessed its consequences firsthand, Azita is highly concerned about the expansionist goals of radical Islamist extremism worldwide and its growing influence and global reach of Islamist movements.

She is deeply committed to the preservation of Western democratic values, cultural freedoms, and the defense of human rights.

While she considers herself an observant Jew, she also holds conservative values and strongly supports freedom of expression, freedom of religion, individual rights, and the principles enshrined in the United States Constitution.

In her personal life, Azita enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, traveling, and learning about different cultures.
