On April 22, 2025, Islamist terrorists from The Resistance Front—an offshoot of the Pakistan- based, U.S.-designated terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba—murdered 26 civilians in the Indian region of Kashmir. According to multiple reports, the attackers specifically targeted Hindu men, forcing them to show identification and inspecting their bodies for circumcision before executing them. This was a chilling, premeditated act of Islamist terrorism.
The CLARITy Coalition unequivocally condemns this barbaric massacre. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims’ families and stand in solidarity with all those affected. This was not an isolated act of brutality, but one rooted in a clear ideological project—one that uses religion to justify murder, terror, and sectarian hatred.
Jihadist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba seek to impose their supremacist worldview through violence and intimidation. They openly state their motives, which are both religious and political. To confront them effectively, we must take them at their word—and name the ideology that fuels their atrocities.
There can be no serious counter-terrorism strategy that avoids addressing the theological justifications used by these groups. Silence or euphemism, especially by democratic societies, only emboldens those who kill in the name of religion.
CLARITy Coalition stands for the universal rights to life, freedom of conscience, and religious belief. We remain committed to challenging all forms of violent extremism and to defending those persecuted for their faith.
